« The precision and maturity of her music let us believe that Lucie Martel is an old soul who has written all the symphonies of this world! We can only be impressed by her talent! »

A rich and sensual musical universe bringing together soft and percussive melodies. A warm voice tone, melting power and depth with aerial lightness. Elaborate musical arrangements in which pop, jazz and electro flavours meet. The feeling of surfing on the waves, remembering the determination and true fragility of the ocean.
With her original repertoire, Lucie Martel presents more than just a show. She is inviting you to a meaningful encounter. Music travels through deep and orchestral acoustics with this group of very talented musicians. Together, they marry cords to keyboards and voice to percussions. With influences such as, Joni Mitchell, Coral Egan, James Blake, Alt-J and Gretchen Parlato, the group performing on stage creates a unique and bright moment of harmony, getting the listener to loose track of time and ultimately let go.
Lucie Martel is a very experimented vocal interpret. Only to name a few, she has performed at Dièse Onze, Festival Juste pour Rire and Montreal/Tremblant FestiBlues. Graduate from the Université de Montréal in Jazz singing interpretation, Lucie Martel has been a backup singer for Luc Boivin, many emerging artists and a couple of TV shows, such as En Direct de l’Univers. Whether by being a solo artist or an accompanist (backup singer, percussions and piano), Lucie keeps proving that her diversity and her love for all musical genres make her a strong asset to any group.
During the summer of 2015, she felt the need to take a new leap and write her own songs. Her instinct became her best friend. Her original music slowly bloomed and the launch of her first EP ‘Listen’ took place at O Patro Vys (Montreal) on September 15th of 2016, under the Montreal based label Multiple Chord Music. This album is the result of hard work, driven partnerships and a beautiful creative period of Lucie Martel’s life.
